I am a combat wounded veteran, found 100% disabled by the VA in 2006. At that time, I was misinformed by both the VA and SSA regarding my eligibility to receive SSDI while also receiving my VA disability benefits. I therefore never applied for the benefits through SSA.

In 2018, I met Attorney Frankel, and told her my story. She advised me that my case would be difficult to win as my disability insured status had expired in 2011. But surprisingly, she took my case anyway despite the fact that if she did not win she would not be paid an attorney fee for her work. She told me not to get my hopes up, but that she felt it was terribly unfair I had been given misinformation in the past regarding my eligibility and wanted to help. What a kind and sympathetic heart this woman has!

She went through more than 6000 pages of medical records, and contacted my VA doctors to obtain disability statements supporting my application.

After initial denials of benefits at the early stages of application, when the time came, she flew from Massachusetts to Florida to represent me at a hearing before a Social Security judge. She presented my story and struggles to him in an extremely powerful way, and was able to convince him that I had indeed been disabled since 2006.

This award of benefits has made a big difference to me financially! I would recommend her to anyone needing a disability attorney!
